When I learned my wife and I would be moving to Phoenix in June, our son and daughter-in-law recommended Spencer to us because they had enjoyed working with him on the purchase of their home and thought he was honest and had integrity.  These were important qualities to us so we contacted him and began our search.  Over the next few weeks, Spencer made sure we had a reasonable number of homes within our price range and that fit the general character of home we were seeking; enough for good variety and location, not so many we were overwhelmed.

My relationship with Spencer Rosas started well before my wife and I were in the market for a new house.  Not only is Spencer well versed in the real estate business, he is extremely knowledgeable about remodeling homes.  In fact, he has shared his knowledge and hands-on experience with me on several projects in our home.

I have known Spencer Rosas for many years as a personal friend to my wife´s family. He was always courteous and friendly with those around him. Around October of 2004, My wife and I discussed upgrading homes. We then talked about how we were looking for a different experience than the one that our previous realtor provided. We knew that my wife´s grandfather had a very successful experience using Spencer as his agent when he moved the previous year, so we decided to give him a call.

 

Immediately, Spencer thanked us for calling him and began working with us. He first asked if we had a mortgage officer that we would like to work with. We told him that we did not and He was the first person that we contacted. He then recommended us someone that he has had a very successful time with. We called her after speaking with Spencer and to our amazement; we were qualifying for our "new" home that very evening.

 

The next day Spencer was emailing us listings of houses that were in our desired area of town and within our price range. Wow, I never thought that type of personal experience could happen. Our last realtor didn´t get back to us for about a week, and only had weekly updates for us.

 

When the time came for us to prepare our house to go on the market, Spencer took the time himself, to go over the house and find ways that would freshen up our home and get us a maximum dollar amount on our investment. We new we would have to paint and possibly get new carpet, but it was the details that we would never of thought of. For instance, The placement of our furniture was for OUR comfort not the best for showing a home.

 

When we decided on painting, Spencer had some contacts that He has delt with that could come out and gives us an estimate. That was a HUGE time saver for us. He even agreed to meet the painters at our home while we were at work to get the estimate. That´s customer service! When it came time to picking out paint he even help my wife on picking out the best most up to date colors that would really go well with our home.

 

Carpet, Same thing. He told us to look around and see what we liked. Later that day he showed up at our home with carpet samples for us to look at. He even said that his contact could have it installed while we were at work and he would handle the deal for us.

 

Next up for us was home shopping.  We were looking at some houses that we thought we could do some work on to get them to our liking. Spencer said "NO! You are going to find the right house that you don´t have to put any work into. You just got through with your house; you don´t want to do it twice." We agreed.

 

When we found "It" Spencer immediately had a contract faxed over to the seller, and by the next day, we were signing contracts! Everything was explained to us with all of our questions answered. He was very knowledgeable.

 

 

The time came to list our house. When the comps were pulled for our area, he decided to list our house as the market high. He thought that with the way it will show, He was confident that it wouldn´t last long. On a Tuesday, he had an open house while we were at work. 15 minutes before quitting time I got a phone call from him telling us that we had an offer on our house for full asking price! Wow what a surprise!

 

Well everything with the buying and sell of our house went VERY smoothly. In fact, Our business experience didn´t end with there. I had misplaced the paperwork on our home warranty. I called Spencer and he immediately pulled our file and gave us the contact information. That was very helpful.

 

I would with out hesitation, recommend Spencer Rosas to anyone looking to buy and sell a home with confidence!
